The company recognises the importance of protecting the environment and is fully committed to this policy. This is achieved by identifying which processes may adversely affect or be harmful to the environment. The company constantly monitors the design, manufacture and installation processes enabling the incorporation of improvements.
The company is fully committed to complying with the requirements of all relevant legislation including the Environment Protection Act 1990. In order to achieve this it is the company’s policy to:
- Achieve the highest environmental standards in all activities.
- Use all resources as effectively as possible
- Include environmental considerations in investment decisions
- If possible liase with suppliers and subcontractors to adopt similar environmental standards
- Regularly asses the environmental impact of the companies operations and be fully informed of recognised best practices.
- Prepare contingency plans to deal with foreseeable environmental accidents.
Employees have a duty to abide with the following objectives:
- Work safely and efficiently and in an environmentally friendly manner.
- Use specific equipment provided, following specific instructions provided by manufacturers
- Communicate any ideas that will assist the company to further improve its working practices and policies.
An appointed Director is overall responsible for the implementation of the company’s environmental policy. The Director has taken on the role of overseeing the operation of the policy and advising employees on environmental matters. All employees have the responsibility of ensuring that activities under their control conform to the company’s environmental policy and that the appropriate standards are achieved and maintained.
A copy of this policy is issued to all employees and their active involvement is encouraged.
